Green Auto Repair
Auto repair generates a lot of waste, used oil, coolant, batteries, tires, parts. Here's how we minimize our footprint and keep Simi Valley a little cleaner.
Our Environmental Commitment
A modern auto shop produces hundreds of gallons of used fluids, dozens of batteries, and stacks of worn-out parts every month. Where that waste ends up matters. We've built our shop's processes around responsible recycling and minimizing what goes to landfill.
What We Recycle
- Used motor oil, collected and processed by certified recyclers
- Coolant and antifreeze, recycled or properly disposed of
- Brake fluid and transmission fluid, never poured down a drain
- Lead-acid batteries, recycled through battery suppliers
- Used tires, picked up by certified tire recyclers
- Metal parts, brake rotors, calipers, exhausts, sent to scrap recycling
- Cardboard and packaging, recycled through municipal waste
Energy and Water
Our shop uses LED lighting throughout, energy-efficient air compressors, and we've reduced unnecessary water use in our parts washers and bay cleaning. Small changes add up across hundreds of repairs each year.
Quality Parts and Fluids
We use Liqui Moly oils and additives, formulated to last longer and reduce wear on engine components. Longer-lasting fluids mean fewer fluid changes over the life of your vehicle, which means less waste. We also stock OEM-quality parts that hold up, so you're not back in the shop replacing the same component repeatedly.
Helping You Drive Greener
Routine maintenance is one of the most environmentally friendly things you can do for your car. A well-maintained vehicle uses less fuel, produces fewer emissions, and lasts longer (which means one fewer car going to scrap). We're happy to talk through a maintenance plan that keeps your vehicle running clean.
Smog Compliance
California's smog program exists to reduce vehicle emissions, and we take it seriously. We diagnose and repair emission-related issues correctly, never tell customers to "drive it more before testing" to mask problems, and stand behind every repair we make.
