Suspension & Steering FAQ
Common questions about suspension & steering repair and service, answered by our ASE Certified technicians in Simi Valley.
Signs include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll in turns, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and fluid leaking from the strut or shock. Most need replacement between 50,000 and 100,000 miles.
We recommend a wheel alignment every 12 months or whenever you notice uneven tire wear, the vehicle pulling to one side, or after hitting a significant pothole or curb.
Clunking over bumps often indicates worn sway bar links, ball joints, control arm bushings, or strut mounts. A thorough suspension inspection identifies the specific worn component.
